Goldman Sachs Collaboration Management Platform

The firm is consolidating collaboration channels and needs a robust collaboration management application designed to simplify the creation and management of various collaboration spaces (e.g., SharePoint sites, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive).

Business Needs

    • Simplify collaborating across the firm while adhering to regulatory information barriers
    • Provide privilege management features that enable managers to grant or revoke user privileges
    • Educate users about the new collaboration spaces available to them and guide them through creating the type that best fits their needs
    • Adapt this tool to conform to each division’s unique needs

Users aren’t always aware of the collaboration spaces available to them and the benefits or limitations of one over the other.  This tool guides them to the type of space that looking for through a simple creation wizard that asks a few key questions followed by a suggestion and an opportunity for the user to override the suggestion if needed.

Keeping these spaces in compliance with regulations and reducing the amount of Help Desk or IT calls by automating privilege management and guiding users is key to this application being successful.  Working with compliance and legal it has been designed with highly visible reminders, errors and detailed explanations that educate users on the state of their space and what actions are required.

Each division of the firm has a unique list of needs and unique user roles for this application which requires me to design the components with reusability, customization and expansion in mind.
